Community Garden assistant

The Personal Helpers and Mentors Scheme supports people living with mental illness in our community.  We seek a volunteer to join our new gardening group.  The group will encourage people to participate in their community, to socialise in a non-threatening way, and to discover the joys of gardening!

 

You will have a love of gardening, good communication skills, be happy to relate to people living with mental illness, and be willing to attend training around this.  You will become part of a relaxed but professional team, committed to positive outcomes in our community through this program.

 

The hours are flexible, within office hours to suit. The group will operate in the Eastern suburbs, possibly around the Maroubra area.
