Community Welcomer

The Personal Helpers and Mentors Scheme supports people living with mental illness in our community.  We seek a volunteer to join our new café team, to welcome people who drop in, encourage them to participate in conversation, and serve refreshments etc.

 

You will have great communication skills, be able to relate to people living with mental illness, and be willing to attend training around this.  You will become part of a relaxed but professional team, committed to positive outcomes in our community through this program.

 

The café operates on Monday mornings.  It is a stone’s throw from Bondi beach.
